Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, occurs when the force of blood against the artery walls is consistently too high. This chronic condition can lead to serious health complications such as heart disease, stroke, and kidney damage if not effectively managed. Non-pharmacological approaches can be helpful, such as:

  • Increasing physical activity: 30 to 60 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise 4 to 7 days a week.
  • Achieving or maintaining a healthy weight: aiming for a BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 kg/m².
  • Limiting alcohol consumption.
  • Adopting a healthy diet: Mediterranean or DASH diet.
  • Stress management and relaxation techniques.
  • Smoking cessation.

However, these measures may sometimes not be sufficient. If you are 18 years or older and diagnosed with hypertension, taking medications for it, our pharmacists are dedicated to helping you achieve your therapeutic goals. We offer personalized support and advice to assist individuals in reaching optimal blood pressure levels. For more information, feel free to contact us or visit us at the pharmacy.
